Ahoy Me Hearties and a rousing Thank thee!!!! So nice to recieve warm welcomes and wishes from all me tblog Mateys! - I have indeed missed it here!
- I've been plugging along - not the easiest of tasks this year...speaking of which, it will be almost a year since me Dad passed - I still struggle with it everyday, and have gone through a rather bad bout (spelling?) of depression ( still dealing with it from time to time) but I feel like for now I see a light at the end of the tunnel. - not particularly looking forward to the holidays that are aproching ( namely Turkey day and Christmas) especially December - cause it will mark one year - Turkey Day was the last "Holiday" with Dad and so I think it be best this year ( fer me) to make some new traditions. - It be a bit tricky being the rest of me family gets together, and still plans to do so again this year. - Me family gets together not on Turkey Day itself, but on the weekend directly after - I plan to have our Turkey Day here with my own little family, and invite me Mom over to join us ( she has already said yes) and have a nice quiet enjoyable day together - I don't however, think it would be the best fer me to join in on the weekend events with the rest of me family - just too much fer me
I have been on Facebook as of late - not like it is here, where you can write a whole stream of cnciousness on one page - but rather it is broken up in short posts of ones "status" - granted, it is fun that - but - still - not like here. I have added a few tblog friends there however and that has been fun. (anyone else here on Facebook that isn't on me mateys list already?)
Still doing artwork, still homeschoolin' the wee-one, and still Piratin' - ARRRR! Took a trip this Summer with me wee little one and me Mum, to the beach ( where else lol!), and had a nice time together. It has been a bit odd with going through things of me folks and thar being one yard sale under our belts. - I've found ther are some things that are being got rid of that I am grabbing in desperation to hold on to my life, my childhood, my parents, but some I can let go - it has been both uncomfortable and stressfull at times - and at times - just downright unbearable. I do have some nice flannel shirts of me Dad's - ones I wear to keep warm as now the bitter cold be approching as the onset of cold weather approches - ( boy that thar sentance sounded right pretty-like didn't it?! - lol!), It's be like getting a big hug from me Dad when I wears 'em. :)
- Well I guess that be all fer now me hearties- it be late - or early - dependin' on where ye be hailin' from - - - I'm looking forward te LadyG's annual Halloween bash - it's that time to be lookin' fer a costume again fer the PAR-TAY!!!!!!! See ye all thar!! P-)
Ahoy tbloggers! - I've missed it here - I've been on facebook as of late ( send me a msg if you are also on FB and want to add me if you haven't already) - FB = (Facebook) is nice, but it sure isn't the same as tblog! - I miss blogging and I miss my good friends here - lots, and nothing, all at the same time going on here for me - one of the nice things over on FB is that alot of family are there too - but it has also proven to be a draw-back as well, and so I have two seperate accounts - (some things are just better that way ! ) - well I do hope that all me Mateys have been fairing well and I hope to get back in the swing of things here and back in touch with everyone - A beautiful tblog day to all!
Well, I was inspired by LadyG's post on strange looking houses and/or buildings, and thought I'd post a pic of me own house - the one I use when I'm not out at sea ...

Farrah Fawcett - Rest in Peace Beautiful Angel ~ *laid to rest today June 30th, 2009*
Well...tomorrow is Father's Day - *sigh* - I know it's going to be a tough one - Let's see...it's been 6 months now, since Captian Nemo passed away. Still rough (of course) - but some days are better than others. In fact some days are even good ones. Although, I do have my days (somtimes a few days in a row). It's still weird to wake up and realise he is not here anymore. I catch myself for an instant, and it all comes rushing back. Seems so weird and just flat out strange for him to just not be here. I sure do miss him. I have had a couple of very very short dreams, where I see his face - I even heard his voice one time. I like that. Not sure what I'll do, or be doing, tomorrow...I know I'll be taking flowers to Captain Nemo ...as for the restof the day..I guess we'll just wait and see. - My one sis-in-law, and my Mother-in-law, brought me flowers today. - It means so much that they did that, and that they know just how hard it will be for me tomorrow. It's nice to have lovely little surprises like that in life. It lifts me up and means so much to me. I'm sure we will be spending some time with my Father-in-law too. That will be nice. - I got a special card for him, just from me this year. I also got one and sent it to my Uncle, Captian Nemo's older brother. tomorrow will be tough for him too. I wanted him to know just how much he means to me. I'm so greatful to have him as my Uncle and Godfather, and to have had Captian Nemo for my Dad. - Well, I do hope that everyone else out there has a wonderful Father's Day with their own Dad - and if they are also no longer here with us, that they are able to take a little time out, and honor their Dad in some way. - And if you have a strained relationship with your Dad, ( with exceptions to those who have had an abusive relationship of course), I really encourage you to reach out to him - Father's Day is a great day to do so. Remember, when our loved-ones are no longer here on earth with us, the thing we want most is to have had more time with them - (which there will never be enough of) - don't live with regrets, life is far too short Mateys.
I really don't get some people - I am so sick and tired of people twisitng my words - especially when they are people who have known me for a long time. It's downright aggrivating! - and others who are just so blatent - I mean DUH! - whatever - I'll just keep plugging along and mind my own buisness - it's just better that way. not being included and being talked about in a negative way, after your words have been twisted? - Life's too short, and it's just not worth putting up with that kind of crap anymore.
I received this from a dear dear friend, and want to pass it along to all of you in honor of this Father's Day June 21st, 2009 - PirateGirl

Well it's been some time since I posted an update - so - I have been laying a bit low - so to speak - since the five month mark of Cpatain Nemo's passing away - and this Memorial Day hit me especially hard - I guess, due to the timing of said fifth month. - I was in a real depression there for quite a while - although I would check in here on Tblog, I just didn't have a whole lot to say. - Kiddo had a homeschool test and got "excellent grades" and was over the moon with the review she received from the school that we use! - Handwriting is neater, grades are better, more confidence - all good! ( I'm thrilled too :) ) - also got to visit the old school kiddo attended - (Teacher invited us to come for a book club and to see everyone before the end of the year) - hope to also go back on their last day - Family visiting has been really nice. now there's an extended stay, and we'll have more time to fit more in! Had a family gathering here for Memorial Day - it was nice. cooked out on the Grill - Grilled chicken ( marinate in 1 cup of 7-up, 1/2 cup soy sauce, and 2 tbsp of veg. oil - marinate over night and grill-er up! - Also had round-steaks and tube-steaks *(read; hamburgers and hot dogs), with all the fixin's, plus, potato salad, chips, pretzles, salsa, deviled eggs, and Me Mum's killer beans! YUMMO ( and yes they are killer!!!! - LOOK-OUT!) - also the big move gets in gear fer reals this weekend - Captain Flint and family had started bringing things to Mum and Dad's already, but will actually be moving in this weekend - or so the plan goes, as I'm told. Our oldest Kiddo has 25th Birthday this weekend - he's going away with his new wife for a little Birthday get-a-way. Should be nice. For us, it's movie night tomorow night as family comes over to spend time. I have a huge ham in the freezer that I need to start thawing tonight for tomorrow nights din-din! OI!
I guess that's it for now - or at least some of the highlights. - Hope everyone else has been well, and had a wonderful weekend! :)

Here is a link to see the whole story that was on air just last night - It made me think of my Dad, and cry - There are many who have fought, and are fighting this terrible disease, and many inspiring stories - Farrah's Story has inspired me - I hope you will watch it, and be inspired too -

Been Taking some time out - feeling a bit lost and unsure - don't get as many comments here anymore, and recent comments have me a bit puzzled - maybe it's just me and my state of mind right now - given all that is going on in my little world right now - guess that makes sence - or does it? - maybe I'm just reading things wrong - wouldn't be the first time - ha - oh well - life's been a ittle crazy as of late - wanting to be there for Mom and needed to get things done here - first set of testing finally done for homeschooling - glad to have that finally under our belts - realatives coming next week and also two more in the fall - looking forward to that - but still will be an emotional time of course - kinda wish I could take a vacation right about now - might look into a day-trip type of vacay - (?) - might be just the ticket - The Beach sounds good right about now - Worried about Captain Hook too - (My Hubby) - is sick and has to let it play out - it's really got him down for the count - I don't know - life is just weird - strange things happen at strange times it seems like somtimes - and sometimes you find out why later on down the road - but somtimes - you don't -

Well, it's been "hurry-up and wait' recently. Captian Flint and his crew be moving in with me Mum - which is good, but, that means Mum is having to go through things (read Captain Nemo's things, as well as everything they have gathered together for the last 50 years), alot quicker than one would like or is reccomended to. - *You hear quite frequently, that "you should wait a year after losing a loved one, before you make any major decisions". - - Now, granted, Mum really could use the company. She's lonley, (of course), and even morso, being she be a people person. And I get why Captian Flint and his crew be movin in and/or wanting to be moving in so quickly, (yes we ALL visit with Mum very often, but it's still hard for her - of course), but at the same time, it forces Mum to go through things at a much quicker pace than she had wanted - or, that quite frankly, - is good for her. I hate to see her rush through going through any of their belongings, and especially ones that are his - she's had to go through his personal belongings rather quickly, and everything has become even more overwhelming than it is - or even would be, in the first place. and the whole house is a wreck - *sigh* - guess it's like alot of things in life, it's a "catch 22" of sorts -

Given what's going on in our world with the recent flu that is going around, it is not for us to panic, but it IS something we need to be smart about - Common sence goes a long way -

*Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
*Use paper tissues when wiping or blowing your nose; throw tissues away after use.
*Stay away from crowded living and sleeping spaces, if possible.
