a 12-Step Program

1.) Examine the software packaging until you find a little printed box that explains what kind of computer system you need to run the software.

It should look something like this:

2.) Open the software packaging and remove the manual. This will contain detailed instructions on installing, operating, and troubleshooting the software. Throw it away.

3.) Find the actual software, which should be in the form of either a 3.5-inch floppy diskette or a CD-ROM, located inside a sealed envelope that says:

LICENSING AGREEMENT:

9.) After you make your selection, you will hear grinding and whirring for a very long time while the installation program does who knows what in there. Some installation programs can actually alter molecular structures, so that when they're done, your computer has been transformed into an entirely new device, such as a food processor. At the very least, the installation program will create many new directories, sub-directories, sub-sub-directories, on your hard drive and fill them with thousands of mysterious files with names like "puree.exe", "fester.dat" and "doo.wha."

10.) When the installation program is finished, your screen should display the following message:

CONGRATULATIONS !

The installation program cannot think of anything
else to do to your computer and has grown bored.
You may now attempt to run your software.

If you experience any problems, electrical shocks, insomnia, shortness of breath, nasal discharge, or intestinal parasites, you should immediately  *!@!$)$%@&*)$*!#$_$*&

11.) At this point your computer system should become less functional than the federal government, refusing to respond even when struck with furniture.

12.) Call the toll-free Tech Support Hotline # listed on the package and wait on the line for a representative, who will explain to you, in a clear, step-by-step manner, how to adopt a child aged 3 through 12.

 Yet another day in the glorious Caribbean....

  The rum hunt went well ( for those of you wondering - auntconi was on Captain Jack's team, and they did quite well....but afterwards he realized she was a "ringer")...

 In the afternoon we all made our way to the beach for some sun -

even Surrogate took a rest from all that writing -

SZ had other ideas ...( methinks he's taking this "cabin boy" thing too far - he scared the Captain!)

- Well after recoverin' from a night of too much dancin' an' WAY too much shuffleboard ( I think I sprained sumthin'),

 I woke with the mornin's first light, checked me trusty map - ( I have a few), and confirm'd we be on course.



 As I saw it appear on the horizon ,  bellowed - LAND HO! ...needless to say, I didn't have to repeat me

announcement as the crew were up on deck in two seconds flat! - than thar she was...

We were greated by the warm sunshine and smilin' dolphins, as they danced about the boat welcoming us to our destination ...

The crew decided that joinin' the dolphins would be a great idea - so out came the water skis....(hey - it could happen!), and one by one the crew took their turns -

of course it wouldn't be a Tblog crew without there be a little showin' off as well -

....till "the boys" got the bright idea....

  - It was all great fun 'till sumone thought it be a great practical joke to put sum fish food in one of the guys back pockets!

 

WHOA NELLIE!!!!

(time to confiscate the fish food and head to shore....)

...When we got to shore we were greated by the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow -

He was glad to join us aboard the ship, and had but one question...

Then Cap-in' Jack went to check in on the crew - well, check in on the gals anyway...

' Ello ladies! - Welcome to The Caribbean!!!

 ...The crew and Captain Jack then all went ashore -

It be time fer an important task - one of highest priority -

 Well - I be laggin' behind on this post as well - so here it is for February 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th -

 ....    6 more days until Valentine's Day!

 Whew - ok, had a major glitch in the system - my system - I got a migraine - I'm prone to em, (ugh!) - lasted 24 hours and ended up recovering all week afterwards! - So - that out of the way, ( for now anyways), I thought I'd try to get back to blogging-n-posting!  - *I think the angel food cake I just had gave me a bit of an energy boost too - I didn't have any cool whip for the frosting, so opted for fresh strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate suace instead - can you spell *s-u-g-a-r * r- u-s-h* ?  ,

 LOL!

 Yep I be sick - well... I actually be recovering from having a humungous migraine all day yesterday - but that counts , (so I guess that's two sick days)

 later me hearties...

 Bein' this is the month of Valentine's Day, and I had sum special icons set aside fer the occasion - I thought I'd post something here in honour of Valentine's Day -

Day two -

 Moral be good this morning, as the crew looked forward to another full day of sailing on the open sea towards our Caribbean destination...

 - however -

after breakfast ...


 ...we found it te be raining outside, so all decided to stay 'n the hold, and look fer sumthin' to do until the rain stopped.

 unbeknownst to me, a few of the crew members had brought their view masters with them, -

and decided that now would be the perfect time fer viewin'!

 the crew enjoyed themselves immensely and even shared their pictures with each other - all went well - at first...

 Seems someone brought their van halen view master pics -

and then - someone started passing around their special edition Disney fantasyland pics -

... before I knew it, there was a rousing rendition of "It's a small world after all, being sung by the crew - so loud and boisterous in fact, that I be hearin' them all the way up on deck - even with the rain !- I lost control of the wheel and nearly ran me ship into the rocks!

- I confiscated the veiwmasters -

...even Surrogate's -

   Later - when deciding when we should have dinner - someone suggested lobster - all agreed.

 -  When evening came the lobster was quite nice

- he even brought dinner with 'im ;)

 - As the evening wound down - The ladies decided it be their turn te provide the evening's entertainment - "the boys" were all fer it!

 In the Spirit of The Caribbean, - the be-a-utiful art of Hula dancing was chosen -

 - Sebastian helped by singing back up - whilst the ladies danced with moves ever-so graceful ...

 ....The other "boys" decided te join in too -

 - even Squirrel gave it a go ...

 As the crew made their way back te their bunks fer the night - they all claimed they be lookin' forward to tomorrow, when we reach our vacation spot! ...

 Well, I would have written and posted this later in the day yesterday, but it was very busy aboard me ship, as you will soon see fer yerself....

 - After the crew made their way aboard me ship, they donned their new uniforms, tho many had complaint (*note to self - take down complaint box). - Sum made "adjustments" te their new garrb, - after gettin' per-mission of course - (they be a fine crew, but I don't want a mutiny) ;)

  - Auntconi - (a darlin' lass if there ever was) - made sum special pirate cookies frum scrratch, and brought enough fer all the whole crew - (*note to self - see to it that Auntconi gets herself an extra bottle o' rum) ;)

  ... As the crew settled in, the gals made themselves comfortable in the deck chairs, and got sum sun -

  ...The men, ( and I use the term loosley here - more like "the boys" in this case), had other ideas, and headed fer the crow's nest -

...fer a "better point of view" -  or so they claimed....

  - Of course they be in the need of a decent lookin' glass, orr telescope - I offerred them the use of me own -

 - But they declined...and of course, boys being boys, - there be a compitition right away...

... - seems they'd brought their own - ( such a fine crew - always pre-parred! *insert eye roll here*)


 - Surrogate was kind enough to ask if he might bring his aboard before attemptin' te do so -

 - I said no o' course - being the thing would surely sink me ship (then I really would have a mutiny on me hands!)

 - So - Surrogate settled fer this one instead -

 ... - but as the day progressed, they all seemed to become more in-trested in Squirrelzone's telescope that he had brought -

 ....after calming "the boys down frum a fit o' the giggles, - we all sat down to a hearty lunch, after-which the crew got involved in a lively game of quarters ....

 - Much later that evening - after a lovely dinner of "plank steak" - "the boys" decided they were going to use the deck chairs as a stage, and entertain us with a floor show -

(*note to self - no more "lively" games of quarters)...

 - So as we ended the first day/night of our journey, we sailed on - into the sunset, and the promise of warmer weather and tropical breezes ....

 - I'll post about today's aventures in me next post ;)
