I lost my mom 18 yrs back and my dad 9 years ago. You realize their importance when you dont have them. Blessed are those who have them with them. He had a blood clot in his lungs and one in a kidney...we both wished we had ordered some Nattokinese...it dissolves a blood clot almost immediately!!! posted by: PirateGirl (reply) post date: 06.24.09 (12:35 pm) Reply to: barnabus1 Oh - Dear Barn - I'm so very sorry - I do know all about the hospitals screwing things up - sometimes I wish I could have just picked my dad up and walked out of there with him! - Also wish I had known to ask for the Nattokinese for him - as he also had blood clos and that was why he went into the hospital a couple of times. - they did give him soemthing - but it was just a blood thinner - why do they do this sort of crap? - and why don't they even tell you all the stuff you need to know - like asking for a particular medicine that would actually help the patient! *sigh* posted by: barnabus1 (reply) post date: 06.24.09 (12:39 pm) Big Pharma tells them what to use, and never never even suggests a natural substance!!! posted by: PastorDave (reply) post date: 06.26.09 (6:31 am) Don't live with regret- boy, that makes a lot of sense. Checking out your blog over the past year, it was evident you loved your dad very much. Importantly, you showed your love with words and deeds. You did well, and surely you can sit back and reminisce with a smile on your face. I wish I had your gift- the memory of a good dad and a good relationship with him. Just treasure it. posted by: PastorDave (reply) post date: 06.26.09 (6:38 am) Reply to: barnabus1 Now that is a disturbing story. My initial thought is that you must live in a third world country with poor medical care. But it doesn't take a medical genius to know how to properly prescribe cumadin. I have been taking my mom to various physicians. These men and women, no doubt well trained and intelligent, sit down at a computer and ask questions, all along inputting the answers into a computer program which then spits out advice. I've said nothing, but it is a reminder that a physician is not necessarily all knowing nor foolproof, and therefore we need to consider their advice with a wary eye. Too bad for your friend. I hope his family secured the services of a an equally imperfect professional, a lawyer. |
